ASUS Vivobook 16 (X1607QA)
Price: £619.99 on Amazon UK when we checked on 3 November 2026, sold by BOX UK.
The Vivobook 16 is the cheapest way into a Copilot+ PC we found on Amazon UK. It uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon X X1-26-100 chip, which has the NPU (AI processor) Microsoft requires for Copilot+ features such as Recall, Click to Do and live captions with translation. You get a big 16in screen, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, and ASUS quotes up to 19 hours of battery life. The screen is a standard WUXGA panel rather than OLED, and at 1.78kg it's more of a desk laptop than a travel one.
Key specs
- Chip: Qualcomm Snapdragon X X1-26-100
- Screen: 16in WUXGA (1920 x 1200), 16:10
- Memory and storage: 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD
- Battery: up to 19 hours (ASUS claim)

2. Best for older Windows apps
HP OmniBook 5 16 (AMD Ryzen AI 5)
Price: £649.99 on Amazon UK when we checked on 4 November 2026, sold by Amazon.
If you're worried about apps or games that don't run on Snapdragon chips, the OmniBook 5 is a Copilot+ PC built on AMD's Ryzen AI 300 series instead, so it runs standard Windows software natively. It has a 16in anti-glare screen, Radeon 840M graphics, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, a full HD IR camera with a privacy shutter, and HP says fast charge gets it from 0 to 50% in about 30 minutes.

3. Best light OLED laptop
ASUS Vivobook S14 OLED (S5406SA)
Price: £699.99 on Amazon UK when we checked on 3 November 2026, sold by Amazon.
The Vivobook S14 is the lightest Windows pick here at 1.3kg and 1.39cm thin, with a 14in full HD+ OLED screen. It uses Intel's Core Ultra 5 226V (Lunar Lake) chip, which qualifies it as a Copilot+ PC and runs standard Windows apps. ASUS fits a large 75Wh battery. The catch: it ships without a charger, so you'll need a 65W USB-C charger if you don't already own one.
Key specs
- Chip: Intel Core Ultra 5 226V
- Screen: 14in full HD+ OLED
- Memory and storage: 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD
- Battery: 75Wh

Apple MacBook Neo 13in (A18 Pro)
Price: £749 on Amazon UK when we checked on 3 November 2026 for the 8GB / 512GB model in Indigo, sold by Amazon.
The MacBook Neo isn't a Copilot+ PC, because those run Windows, but it's Apple's cheapest laptop built for Apple Intelligence, Apple's own AI tools for writing, summarising and image editing. It uses the A18 Pro chip from the iPhone, has a 13in Liquid Retina screen (2408 x 1506, up to 500 nits), a 1080p camera and Touch ID, and Apple quotes up to 16 hours of battery. Best for: Anyone who wants a premium, compact Windows laptop with Copilot+ AI.

How to choose an AI laptop
Check the chip. Snapdragon X laptops have the best battery life but use Arm, so a few older apps and games won't run. Intel Core Ultra 200V and AMD Ryzen AI models run everything.
Get 16GB of RAM. Copilot+ PCs need at least 16GB, and it's worth having on any laptop in 2026.
Check for a charger. Some laptops, including the ASUS Vivobook S14 and Surface Laptop here, now ship without one.
Check the seller. Laptops often have several Amazon listings from different sellers. We've said who sold each one when we checked.
FAQs
What is a Copilot+ PC?
A Copilot+ PC is a Windows 11 laptop with a built-in NPU (neural processing unit) fast enough for Microsoft's on-device AI features, such as Recall, Click to Do and live captions with translation. Laptops with Qualcomm Snapdragon X, recent AMD Ryzen AI and Intel Core Ultra 200V chips can qualify.
What is the cheapest AI laptop in the UK?
Of the Copilot+ PCs we checked, the ASUS Vivobook 16 X1607QA was cheapest at £619.99 on Amazon UK on 2 November 2026.
Do Snapdragon laptops run all Windows apps?
Most apps run, either natively or through Microsoft's emulation, but some older software, games with anti-cheat and certain drivers may not. If that worries you, choose an Intel or AMD model such as the ASUS Vivobook S14 or HP OmniBook 5.
Is the MacBook Neo a Copilot+ PC?
No. Copilot+ is a Windows standard. The MacBook Neo runs macOS with Apple Intelligence, Apple's own AI features.

Not necessarily. Copilot, ChatGPT and Grok all work in a web browser on any laptop. An AI laptop adds on-device features that work offline and more privately, and these models are also simply modern laptops with good battery life.
