Best Budget Wireless Earbuds UK 2026: 7 Picks Under £50

Researched buying guide•By Smart Gear Vault•Updated 2 November 2026
Smart Gear Vault graphic: best budget wireless earbuds UK, seven picks from £19.99

You don't need to spend £200 on AirPods to get good wireless earbuds. Anker's soundcore range, Sony, JBL, CMF and JLab all sell well-reviewed pairs for under £50, and several now include noise cancelling, app EQ and 40-plus hours of battery. They also make easy Christmas presents and stocking fillers. These are the seven we'd shortlist, with the Amazon UK prices we found on 2 November 2026.

How we chose: this is a researched buying guide, not a hands-on test. We haven't tested these earbuds ourselves. We picked popular, well-rated models from established brands, compared each brand's specifications on its Amazon UK listing, checked the seller (Amazon or the brand's own store) and the price on 2 November 2026, and read independent UK reviews where available. Battery and noise-cancelling figures are the makers' own claims.

1. Best budget earbuds overall

soundcore P31i

Price: £34.99 on Amazon UK when we checked on 3 November 2026, sold by AnkerDirect UK and dispatched by Amazon. Amazon was showing it as a limited-time deal, 30% off its listed £49.99.

The P31i is the pair we'd point most people to. For well under £40 you get adaptive noise cancelling that Anker says cuts noise by up to 52 dB and adjusts itself to your surroundings, plus Hi-Res Audio certification and LDAC support for higher-quality Bluetooth on compatible Android phones. Battery life is strong too: Anker quotes 10 hours per charge and 50 hours with the case, or 8 and 40 hours with noise cancelling on, and a 10-minute charge gives about 3 hours. It also has six microphones for calls and a two-way translation feature in the soundcore app.

Key specs

  • Noise cancelling: adaptive ANC, up to 52 dB (Anker)
  • Battery: 10 hours, 50 hours with case (8 / 40 hours with ANC on)
  • Quick charge: 10 minutes for about 3 hours
  • Sound: Hi-Res Audio certified, LDAC
  • Calls: six microphones with AI noise filtering

Pros

  • Proper adaptive noise cancelling for about £35
  • Long battery life
  • LDAC for better sound on many Android phones
  • Sold by Anker's own UK store

Cons

  • LDAC doesn't work on iPhone (it uses AAC)
  • Deal price may not last
  • Translation needs the soundcore app

Best for: Commuters, students and anyone who wants noise cancelling without spending AirPods money.
Watch out for: Amazon also lists a renewed P31i and other sellers at very different prices. Check you're buying the new one from AnkerDirect UK or Amazon.

2. Best earbuds under £20

soundcore P20i

Price: £19.99 on Amazon UK when we checked on 3 November 2026, sold by AnkerDirect UK and dispatched by Amazon. Amazon was showing it as a limited-time deal, 33% off its listed £29.99.

If you just want reliable wireless earbuds for the bus, the gym or as a stocking filler, the P20i is the cheapest pair here from a brand we'd trust. It has no noise cancelling, but you get 10mm drivers tuned for bass, 10 hours of playback per charge (30 hours with the case), a 10-minute quick charge for 2 hours of listening, and the soundcore app with 22 EQ presets and a Find My Earbuds sound. The compact case comes with a lanyard so it can clip to a bag or keys.

Key specs

  • Noise cancelling: no
  • Battery: 10 hours, 30 hours with case (Anker)
  • Quick charge: 10 minutes for 2 hours
  • Drivers: 10mm, bass-boosted
  • App: soundcore, 22 EQ presets, Find My Earbuds

Pros

Watch out for: Spend £15 more on the P31i if you'll use them on noisy trains or buses, as noise cancelling makes a big difference there.

3. Best small, colourful pair

JLab Go Air Pop+

Price: £24.99 in Navy on Amazon UK when we checked on 3 November 2026, sold by JLab Audio and dispatched by Amazon. Midnight Black and Dark Pink were also £24.99.

JLab's Go Air Pop+ are tiny, light and come in fun colours, which makes them a good gift for younger listeners or anyone with small ears. JLab says the case is smaller than a credit card and these are its smallest buds yet, with three sizes of ear tip in the box. They switch on and connect when you take them out of the case, support Google Fast Pair on Android, and either bud can be used on its own. JLab quotes 9 hours per charge plus 26 hours from the case, and the JLab app adds a Be Aware mode and three EQ presets. There's no active noise cancelling.

Key specs

  • Noise cancelling: no (Be Aware mode via the app)
  • Battery: 9 hours, 35+ hours with case (JLab)

4. Best for comfort and a big-name brand

Sony WF-C510

Price: £38.99 on Amazon UK when we checked on 3 November 2026, sold by Amazon. Amazon was showing it as a limited-time deal, 29% off its listed £54.99.

Sony's cheapest true wireless earbuds are small and light at 4.6g per earbud, and reviewers at What Hi-Fi? and Trusted Reviews praise their comfort and musical sound for the price. There's no active noise cancelling, but the snug fit blocks a lot of noise and an Ambient Sound mode lets you hear announcements. You also get multipoint Bluetooth to stay connected to a phone and laptop at once, IPX4 splash resistance and Sony's DSEE upscaling. Sony quotes 11 hours per charge and 22 hours in total with the case, and 5 minutes of charging gives an hour of playback.

Key specs

  • Noise cancelling: no (Ambient Sound mode)
  • Battery: 11 hours, 22 hours with case (Sony)
  • Quick charge: 5 minutes for 1 hour
  • Weight: 4.6g per earbud

Price: £39.95 in Dark Grey and £35.50 in Orange on Amazon UK when we checked on 3 November 2026, both sold by Amazon.

CMF is Nothing's cheaper sub-brand, and the Buds 2 look more interesting than most budget earbuds, especially in orange. CMF claims 48 dB hybrid noise cancelling with an adaptive mode, 11mm drivers with Dirac tuning, a spatial audio effect, six microphones for calls and up to 55 hours of battery with the case. 6. Best for bass and switching devices

JBL Tune Beam 2

Price: £39 on Amazon UK when we checked on 3 November 2026, sold by Amazon. The white and teal versions were £39.99.

JBL's Tune Beam 2 are a good pick if you like a punchy, bass-heavy sound. They combine adaptive noise cancelling with JBL's Smart Ambient, which lets you choose how much of your surroundings to hear, and 10mm drivers with JBL Pure Bass tuning. JBL quotes 10 hours per charge plus 30 hours from the case with noise cancelling on, or 12 plus 36 hours with it off. Multipoint lets you switch between a laptop and phone, and Fast Pair works on Android and Windows devices. Each bud has two beamforming microphones for calls.

  • Noise cancelling: adaptive ANC with Smart Ambient
  • Battery: 10 + 30 hours with ANC on, 12 + 36 hours off (JBL)
  • Drivers: 10mm, JBL Pure Bass

soundcore Liberty 4 NC

Price: £47.99 on Amazon UK when we checked on 3 November 2026, sold by AnkerDirect UK and dispatched by Amazon. Amazon was showing it as a limited-time deal, 40% off its listed £79.99.

The Liberty 4 NC sits a step above the P31i in Anker's range and is the one to get if blocking out noise matters most. Anker says it cancels up to 98.5% of noise with Adaptive ANC 2.0, which adjusts to your ears as well as your surroundings. It has 11mm drivers, Hi-Res Audio with LDAC, Anker's HearID 2.0 sound personalisation and 22 EQ presets, multipoint Bluetooth 5.3, IPX4 water resistance and six microphones for calls. Watch out for: At its listed £79.99 it's much less of a bargain, so it's worth buying while the deal price lasts.

How to choose budget earbuds

Decide if you need noise cancelling. On trains, buses and the Tube it makes music easier to hear at lower volume. For the gym or at home, a pair without it, like the P20i or Sony WF-C510, is fine.

Check the fit. Small, light buds like the JLab Go Air Pop+ and Sony WF-C510 suit smaller ears. Most pairs include several ear-tip sizes, and a good seal improves both bass and noise blocking.

Look at total battery life. Makers quote hours per charge and hours with the case. Noise cancelling usually cuts battery life by a fifth or more.

Think about your phone. LDAC and Google Fast Pair only work with Android phones. iPhone owners still get full Bluetooth playback and the brands' apps.

Check the seller. Popular earbuds often have several Amazon listings from different sellers, as well as renewed and lookalike versions. Every link in this guide goes to a listing sold by Amazon or the brand's own store when we checked.

FAQs

What are the best cheap wireless earbuds in the UK?

For most people, the soundcore P31i. It was £34.99 on Amazon UK when we checked on 3 November 2026 and has adaptive noise cancelling, LDAC and up to 50 hours of battery with the case. If you want to spend less than £20, the soundcore P20i was £19.99.

Are budget earbuds worth buying?

Yes, for everyday listening. Earbuds from Anker's soundcore range, Sony, JBL and CMF now include features like noise cancelling, app EQ and long battery life for under £50. You give up some sound quality, call quality and premium features like head-tracked spatial audio compared with £150-plus earbuds.

Do I need noise cancelling?

If you travel by train, bus or Tube, it makes a real difference. The P31i, CMF Buds 2, JBL Tune Beam 2 and Liberty 4 NC all have it. The P20i, JLab Go Air Pop+ and Sony WF-C510 don't, although the Sony's snug fit blocks a fair amount of noise.

Do these earbuds work with an iPhone?

Yes. All seven are standard Bluetooth earbuds and work with iPhones and Android phones. Some extras are Android only, such as Google Fast Pair and LDAC higher-quality audio, because iPhones use the AAC codec. If you want Apple's own earbuds, see our AirPods Pro 3 vs AirPods Pro 2 guide.

What about the soundcore P30i?

The P30i is the older model that sits below the P31i, and it features in our tech gifts under £50 guide. It was £29.99 when the daily price check ran on 2 November 2026, only £5 less than the newer P31i, so we'd pick the P31i.

Possibly, but several were already on limited-time deals when we checked on 3 November 2026, including the P20i, P31i, Sony WF-C510 and Liberty 4 NC. Prices change often, so check the price on Amazon before you buy. Our Black Friday deals 2026 guide has more tips on spotting real deals.
