Best Robot Vacuums UK 2026: 5 Top Picks for Every Budget
Robot vacuums have come down in price and gone up in ability. Around £160 now buys LiDAR mapping and a self-emptying dock, and a few hundred pounds more gets you a station that washes and dries the mops too. We've narrowed the field to five current models sold on Amazon UK, from a budget self-emptier to flagship robot mops, including the eufy Omni S1 Pro we've already reviewed.
How we chose: this is a researched buying guide, not a hands-on test. We compared manufacturer specifications and Amazon UK listings with independent UK testing by The Guardian (June 2026) and The Standard (August 2026), plus the sources in our eufy Omni S1 Pro review. Prices are approximate and were checked on 4 October 2026. They change often, so check the latest price before you buy.

1. Best all-rounder
eufy X10 Pro Omni
Price: about £379 on Amazon UK when we checked (4 Oct 2026). The Guardian listed it at £599 in June 2026.
The X10 Pro Omni packs features usually found on much pricier robots: a station that empties the bin, washes and heat-dries the mops and refills the water, plus camera-based obstacle avoidance. The Guardian named it the best robot vacuum overall in its June 2026 test of 11 models, praising its vacuuming and mopping. It also found it big and fairly loud, hitting 68dB on max power, and too tall for some low furniture.
Key specs
- Suction: 8,000 Pa
- Mopping: twin rotating pads, 180 RPM with 1 kg of downward pressure. They lift 12 mm on carpet
- Station: empties into a 2.5-litre bag, washes the mops and dries them with 45°C air, 3-litre clean water tank
- Navigation: iPath laser navigation plus AI.See obstacle avoidance (eufy says it recognises over 100 object types)
- Robot size: 327 × 353 × 114 mm (The Guardian)
- Runtime: up to 180 minutes (Amazon UK listing)
Best for: Most homes with a mix of carpet and hard floors that want hands-off cleaning without spending £1,000+.
Watch out for: Tall body (114 mm) may not fit under low sofas. Mop washing and drying is noisy.
2. Best for hard floors
eufy Omni S1 Pro
Price: launched at a £1,499 UK list price. When we checked, Amazon UK showed no main 'Add to basket' offer, only other buying options, so availability may be limited.
Instead of spinning pads, the S1 Pro uses a full-width roller mop that is rinsed with clean water as it cleans, so it scrubs rather than smears. UK reviewers at TechRadar and Trusted Reviews called its mopping outstanding. US testers at Vacuum Wars found its deep-carpet cleaning weak, so it's best for homes that are mostly tile, laminate, vinyl or wood.
Key specs
- Suction: up to 8,000 Pa
- Mopping: Always Clean roller mop, 170 RPM, 1 kg of downward pressure, lifts 12 mm on carpet
- Station: auto-empties into a 2.5-litre bag, washes and heat-dries the mop, refills water with detergent
- Navigation: LiDAR with camera-based obstacle avoidance
- Climbing: thresholds up to 20 mm
- Robot size: 325 × 347 × 96 mm, about 5.1 kg
Best for: Kitchens, hallways and open-plan spaces with lots of hard flooring, especially with kids or pets.
Watch out for: So-so on thick carpet, the roller can't reach right into corners, and the station is large.
3. Best budget pick
Roborock Q7 L5+
Price: about £160 on Amazon UK when we checked (4 Oct 2026). The Guardian listed it at £169.99 in June 2026.
If you mainly want clean carpets and floors without emptying a bin every day, the Q7 L5+ is a lot of robot for the money. It has LiDAR mapping, 8,000 Pa suction, anti-tangle brushes and a compact self-emptying dock. The Guardian named it the best budget robot vacuum for small homes. Its testers found it got caught on a tasselled rug and couldn't climb small changes in floor height, and its mopping is basic.
Key specs
- Suction: 8,000 Pa (HyperForce)
- Dock: self-empties into a 2.7-litre bag that Roborock says lasts up to 7 weeks
- Navigation: 360° LiDAR, stores up to 3 floor maps, no-go zones in the app
- Mopping: basic mop pad with a 280 ml water tank and 3 water levels
- Runtime: up to 150 minutes. Crosses thresholds up to 2 cm
- Robot size: 325 × 325 × 99 mm (The Guardian). Wi-Fi: 2.4 GHz only
Best for: Flats and smaller homes, and anyone who wants self-emptying for under £200.
Watch out for: Basic mopping (no pad washing), and it struggles with tasselled rugs and small steps.
4. Most powerful
ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 PRO OMNI
Price: £599 at ECOVACS UK and about £599 on Amazon UK when we checked (4 Oct 2026).
The T90 Pro Omni pairs huge 30,000 Pa suction with a self-washing roller mop that extends towards skirting boards. The station washes the roller with water heated to 75°C, hot-air dries it, empties the bin and dispenses detergent. The Standard named it its pick for pure power in August 2026 and praised it on pet hair and across all surfaces. It's pricey, though, and slower in cluttered rooms.
Key specs
- Suction: 30,000 Pa with 16 L/s airflow (BLAST)
- Mopping: OZMO Roller 3.0, 27 cm roller at up to 200 RPM. TruEdge 3.0 extends it 1.5 cm for edges. Lifts 15 mm on carpet
- Station: 75°C fresh-water mop washing, hot-air drying, auto-empty (ECOVACS claims up to 90 days), auto detergent, 4-litre clean and 2.2-litre dirty water tanks
- Navigation: AIVI 3D 4.0 obstacle recognition with structured light
- Climbing: single thresholds up to 2.4 cm, double steps up to 4 cm
- Robot height: 95 mm. Onboard dust box: 0.25 litres
Best for: Larger homes, carpets and pet hair, where suction and edge cleaning matter most.
Watch out for: Expensive, and The Standard found cleaning takes longer in cluttered rooms.
5. Best for multi-surface mopping
Dreame Matrix10 Ultra
Price: about £511 on Amazon UK when we checked (4 Oct 2026). The Guardian listed it at £698.99 in June 2026.
The Matrix10 Ultra's tall dock holds three sets of mop pads and three cleaning solutions. It swaps mops for different rooms, so a wooden floor doesn't get the same treatment as a bathroom. The Guardian called it the master of mopping and its best choice for hard floors and open-plan homes. Its tester also found it handled multi-floor homes and awkward, low furniture less well.
Key specs
- Suction: 30,000 Pa (Vormax)
- Mopping: Multi-Mop Switching Dock with three mop sets and a three-solution compartment
- Station: auto-empties, swaps, washes and dries mops, refills water, with 100°C ThermoHub mop sterilising (Dreame)
- Climbing: Dreame says it clears obstacles up to 8 cm and vertical steps up to 4.2 cm
- Obstacle avoidance: Dreame says it recognises 240+ object types
- Robot size: 351 × 350 × 89 mm (The Guardian)
Best for: Open-plan, single-storey homes with several types of hard floor.
Watch out for: Very tall dock, and less at home in multi-floor or cluttered layouts.
How to choose a robot vacuum
Vacuum first, mop second. Vacuuming makes the biggest difference day to day. If you have lots of carpet, look for strong suction and anti-tangle brushes. If you have mostly hard floors, a robot that washes its own mops, such as a roller or spinning pads, is worth paying for.
Pick the right dock. A basic self-emptying dock, like the Roborock's, saves you emptying the bin. An all-in-one station also washes and dries the mops and refills the robot's water tank, but it's bigger, pricier and needs its tanks topping up and emptying.
Check the height. Robot height decides whether it can clean under your sofa and beds. The eufy X10 Pro Omni is 114 mm tall, while the ECOVACS T90 Pro Omni is 95 mm and the Dreame Matrix10 Ultra is 89 mm.
Think about your layout. Most robots map several floors, but you'll have to carry them between storeys. Thresholds and small steps trip up cheaper models, so check the quoted climbing height if you have raised door sills.
Budget for consumables. Dust bags, filters, brushes and mop pads all need replacing, and some models use branded cleaning solution.

FAQs
What is the best robot vacuum in the UK in 2026?
For most homes we'd shortlist the eufy X10 Pro Omni. It was The Guardian's best overall pick in June 2026, and it empties itself, washes and dries its mops and avoids obstacles for well under £1,000. If your home is mostly hard floors, the eufy Omni S1 Pro's roller mop is the stronger mopper.
How much should I spend on a robot vacuum?
Around £150 to £200 gets you LiDAR mapping and a self-emptying dock, as with the Roborock Q7 L5+. Expect to pay roughly £350 to £600 for a full station that also washes and dries the mops, and more for flagship models. Prices drop often in sales such as Black Friday.
Is higher suction (Pa) always better?
Not necessarily. Pascal figures are measured by each manufacturer and aren't directly comparable. Brush design, navigation and how well the robot handles edges matter just as much. High suction helps most on carpets and with pet hair.
Do robot vacuums work on carpet?
Yes, all five picks vacuum carpet, and most lift their mops to avoid soaking it. Roller-mop and mop-focused models can be weaker on deep-pile carpet, so carpet-heavy homes should prioritise suction and brush design.
What are the running costs?
Self-emptying models use disposable dust bags. Mopping robots also need replacement mop pads or rollers, filters and brushes, and some use branded cleaning solution. Check the price of consumables before you buy.
